New College Graduate - DRAM Yield & Quality Product Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level product engineer role supporting DRAM yield and quality for new and ramping products. The role interfaces with Design, Manufacturing, Test, Product Yield Enhancement, and Quality Assurance to ensure silicon meets product specifications and yield targets.

Work includes data analysis, failure isolation, cross-functional coordination, and driving corrective actions to enable reliable product release.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate. Suitable for recent graduates or candidates with limited professional experience; internships or school project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on preparing new products for ramp, ensuring silicon meets requirements, and partnering across teams to improve yield and quality.

  • Support ramp and product planning activities prior to silicon arrival.
  • Forecast, track, and improve yield and product grading; maintain yield paretos and action plans.
  • Extract and analyze silicon parametric and test-manufacturing data to identify failure modes and trends.
  • Perform hands-on failure analysis and assist in root-cause isolation in the lab.
  • Collaborate with PYE, fab, test, design-for-test, QA, and product teams to drive corrective actions and reliability investigations.
  • Prepare technical presentations and communicate findings to cross-functional audiences.
  • Contribute to process and test improvements based on lessons learned and experiment results.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and workplace abilities for the role.

  • Familiarity with common DRAM failure modes and basic failure analysis by data and test.
  • Coding and automation experience (intern/project experience acceptable).
  • Ability to analyze data, build prioritization (paretos), and recommend corrective actions.
  • Hands-on problem solving and willingness to perform lab failure analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multifunctional teams and drive solutions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; equivalent practical experience accepted. Internship or school project experience in coding/automation is noted as preferred.
