New College Grad — Semiconductor Verification Design Engineer, DRAM Products Group

Role Summary

Entry-level design engineer role within Micron’s Design Engineering organization focused on verification and analysis of DRAM memory circuits. Work across the product lifecycle from design and simulation through silicon validation, partnering with cross-functional global teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable memory solutions.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include circuit design, simulation, analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure product performance and manufacturability.

  • Design, simulate, and optimize memory circuits; contribute to schematic development and layout considerations.
  • Run and debug circuit simulations (SPICE, Verilog) and analyze results to improve functionality and reliability.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs affecting power, performance, area, and cost and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Test, Process Integration, and other teams to support manufacturability and product success.
  • Apply AI-assisted design and analysis tools to improve optimization, debugging, and validation workflows.

Requirements

Minimum technical qualifications and preferred experience for successful candidates.

  • Must-have: Foundational knowledge of CMOS device behavior and memory circuit principles.
  • Experience setting up, running, and debugging circuit simulations using industry-standard tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in memory circuit design, layout optimization, and parasitic analysis.
  • Understanding of CMOS reliability limits and their impact on circuit performance.
  • Exposure to silicon validation, test-chip bring-up, and lab correlation techniques.
  • Experience leveraging AI or AI-supported tools to improve engineering workflows and data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative, global engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required (new college graduate). No advanced-degree or explicit equivalent-experience language is stated.
