New College Grad - Probe Card Engineer
Role Summary
Support development, qualification, and deployment of probe cards used for Micron memory products within Test Solutions Engineering (Key Equipment Group). Collaborate with Test, Assembly, Design, Product Engineering, HVM and external probe card suppliers to address technical, quality, and production readiness issues.
Experience Level
Entry-level (New college graduate). Suitable for candidates with approximately 0β2 years of related experience, including internships or academic project experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support qualification of probe card technologies for new product introductions.
- Assist in developing and reviewing probe card design specifications and documentation.
- Participate in probe card design reviews with internal engineering teams.
- Work with suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues with probe cards.
- Support debugging of probe card issues via data analysis and root-cause investigation.
- Assist in resolving probe card issues that impact production and technology readiness.
- Analyze probe card and manufacturing data to support performance improvements.
- Contribute to development of probe card design guidelines and evaluate new probe equipment/technologies.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Strong fundamentals in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing or test processes (coursework or internship acceptable).
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Exposure to statistics or design of experiments (DOE) concepts.
- Willingness to develop proficiency in AI-enabled tools to support data analysis and engineering workflows.
Nice-to-have:
- Relevant internships, academic projects, lab experience, or prior employment in semiconductor, test, or hardware engineering.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in team environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent practical experience. Coursework, internships, or related academic projects in semiconductor, test, or hardware engineering are acceptable.
