Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include pathfinding, integration ownership, experimental execution, and data-driven analysis to guide technology decisions.
- Identify and evaluate novel device concepts and material systems to enable scaling, performance, power, and reliability improvements.
- Serve as an integration owner, aligning device concepts, materials, and process flows into cohesive technology solutions.
- Design and run experiments in the R&D fab and manage experimental plans.
- Analyze inline, parametric, probe, and characterization data to assess operating and failure mechanisms, variability, and noise sources.
- Perform data-driven analysis across simulation results, material characterization, and silicon data to guide design trade-offs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with process development, modeling, characterization, reliability, design, and architecture teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies:
- Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and process integration.
- Demonstrated record of innovation (patents, publications, or product-relevant solutions).
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with advanced semiconductor nodes or non-conventional device architectures.
- Understanding of semiconductor design and architecture.
- Experience with materials and device characterization.
