Job Title

New College Grad - Memory Design Engineer, HBM

Role Summary

Join Micron's Design Engineering team to contribute to design, optimization, and validation of memory, logic, and analog circuits for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, verification, process, and product engineering to deliver manufacturable memory solutions.

Experience Level

Entry-level (new college graduate).

Responsibilities

Deliver circuit design and layout activities for HBM products and support validation through simulation and manufacturing interactions.

  • Design, layout, and optimize memory, logic, and analog circuits for HBM.
  • Perform parasitic modeling, circuit verification, and simulation using industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Execute layout tasks including floor planning, placement, and routing.
  • Support tape-out revisions and reticle experiments; assist with post-tapeout validation.
  • Collaborate with verification, process, test, and product engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and product requirements are met.
  • Use AI-supported design and simulation tools to improve modeling accuracy and development speed.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for the role; preferred skills listed separately.

  • Experience designing or analyzing digital, analog, or mixed-signal circuits.
  • Proficiency in parasitic modeling, verification, and simulation using industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Experience with layout processes: floor planning, placement, and routing, and ability to interpret product requirements and specifications.
  • Experience using Generative AI or AI tools to improve productivity.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience collaborating across build, verification, product engineering, test, assembly, probe, or process integration teams.
  • Hands-on experience with reticle experiments or tape-out revision cycles and supporting semiconductor build activities.
  • Experience with CAD, modeling, and standards efforts to improve design methodologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
