Role Summary
As a Design Validation Product Engineer on the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Heterogeneous Integration Group (HIG), you will validate next-generation HBM products from design through qualification and high-volume manufacturing. The role combines semiconductor design understanding, silicon validation, hardware/software debugging, and data analysis while working with cross-functional teams globally.
Experience Level
Entry-level - New college graduate. Typically 0β2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include hands-on validation, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional problem resolution.
- Develop expertise in JEDEC HBM specifications, internal architecture documents, and HBM schematics/layouts.
- Perform silicon validation and characterization using laboratory equipment, circuit simulation, debugging, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and other teams to identify and resolve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analyze validation data, identify trends, and implement solutions to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Apply AI-assisted tools for data analysis, debugging, and to accelerate root-cause analysis and engineering decisions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and capabilities for successful performance in this role.
- Experience with one or more: schematic analysis, circuit simulation, data analysis, laboratory debugging, or pattern manipulation.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical ability via academic projects, internships, research, or professional work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven teamwork and effective verbal/written communication skills within an engineering organization.
- Nice-to-have: coursework or experience in VLSI design and semiconductor processes; proficiency in Python and C/C++.
- Nice-to-have: experience with Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog; knowledge of memory architectures and high-speed interface technologies.
- Nice-to-have: prior use of AI/ML tools to support engineering analysis, automation, or debugging.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Demonstrable skills may also be shown through academic projects, internships, research, or related professional experience.
