New College Grad - Design Validation Engineer (HIG HBM PSE)
Role Summary
Entry-level design validation role within the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Heterogeneous Integration Group (HIG). The role focuses on validating HBM products from design through qualification and high-volume manufacturing.
Work involves silicon validation, hardware/software debugging, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing, test, and quality.
Experience Level
Entry-level - new college graduate. Responsibilities and level will be aligned with education, internships, or relevant technical experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include hands-on validation, data analysis, and cross-functional issue resolution for HBM products.
- Develop expertise in JEDEC HBM specifications, internal architecture, and design documentation.
- Perform silicon validation and characterization using laboratory equipment, circuit simulation, debugging techniques, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and other teams to identify and resolve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analyze validation data, identify trends, and implement solutions to improve performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Use AI-assisted and AI-enabled tools for data analysis, debugging, and accelerating root-cause analysis.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Experience with one or more of: schematic analysis, circuit simulation, data analysis, laboratory debugging, or pattern manipulation (can be from academic projects or internships).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills through projects, internships, research, or work experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective collaboration and communication within team-based engineering organizations.
Nice-to-have:
- Coursework or experience in VLSI design and semiconductor processes.
- Programming experience in Python and C/C++.
- Familiarity with Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Knowledge of memory architectures, semiconductor validation methodologies, or high-speed interface technologies.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to support engineering analysis, automation, or debugging.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field as stated in the posting.
