Job Title

New College Grad - Design Engineer, DRAM Technology and Products

Role Summary

Design and analyze digital and analog circuits for DRAM memory products. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, validate, and optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, cost, and time-to-market.

Experience Level

Entry-level (New college graduate). Suitable for recent graduates or those with minimal industry experience (approximately 0–2 years).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include circuit design, simulation, verification, and cross-team collaboration to deliver robust DRAM components.

  • Design, simulate, and optimize memory circuits; perform layout development and verification using industry-standard tools (e.g., SPICE, Verilog).
  • Develop schematic blocks such as memory arrays, control logic, datapaths, address decoders, and internal test logic.
  • Analyze trade-offs across power, speed, die size, and manufacturability to improve product performance.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Test, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to ensure scalable designs.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and methodologies to improve design efficiency, simulation accuracy, and design flow optimization.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and communication abilities required to perform the role. Preferred skills that strengthen candidacy are listed separately.

Must-have:

  • Foundational understanding of memory architectures, circuit design, and semiconductor device behavior.
  • Experience setting up, debugging, and analyzing circuit simulations using tools such as SPICE or Verilog.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical concepts to multi-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on experience designing semiconductor circuits or memory-related components.
  • Familiarity with parasitics extraction, integration into simulation flows, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) concepts.
  • Experience using AI-assisted or AI-enabled design tools to automate workflows or improve validation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or higher required.
