System Validation Intern (Power and Performance)
Role Summary
Intern on the Silicon Validation Engineering team responsible for post-silicon power, thermal and performance validation of high-performance CPUs and SoCs. Work with architects, designers, and cross-functional teams to set up validation environments, define and execute test plans, analyze results, and report findings.

Responsibilities
Support post-silicon validation activities focused on power, thermal and performance metrics.
- Set up post-silicon validation environments and infrastructure.
- Define, execute and automate validation test content and plans.
- Collect, measure and analyze power and performance data; assess coverage and product readiness.
- Assist in debugging and root-cause analysis; propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate validation workflows.
- Document results and produce validation reports.

Key qualifications and conditions for consideration. Must-have items are required; nice-to-have items are preferred.
Must-have
- 6+ months practical experience with programming in Python or C/C++.
- 6+ months practical experience in analog electronics, circuit analysis, or data analysis techniques.
- Foundational knowledge of system architecture and/or SoC microarchitecture.
- Experience with root-cause analysis and problem solving applied to electronic circuits or computer systems.
- Advanced English language ability.
- Self-motivated, able to work in cross-functional teams and tolerate ambiguity.
- Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (no visa or immigration sponsorship available).
- If hired in Mexico, candidate must provide Mexican personal identification: NSS, RFC and CURP numbers.
Nice-to-have
- Experience using electronic lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems).
- Experience with test automation and writing validation scripts.
- Debug skills and experience using scripting languages for validation.
- Knowledge of post-silicon validation, power and performance characterization, or post-silicon debug methodologies.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a BSc, MSc or PhD in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Candidates should have at least one year remaining before graduation. Requirements may also be met through equivalent combinations of relevant internship experience, coursework, or research.
