NAND Probe Product Engineering Intern
Role Summary
Internship within the NAND Product Engineering, Probe Product Engineering team in Singapore. The intern will execute a defined engineering project on wafer probe testing, silicon characterization, yield analysis, and test optimization under supervision of product engineers.
Work includes data analysis, development of AI-enabled analytics or automation prototypes, and collaboration with design, test, process, reliability, and manufacturing teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for students (undergraduate or graduate). No prior professional experience required; demonstrated analytical skills and relevant coursework preferred. Full-time commitment for a 5-month internship (Jan–May 2027).
Responsibilities
Project-driven responsibilities focused on wafer probe test and yield analytics.
- Study wafer probe test flows, screening methodologies, and product performance indicators.
- Analyze probe, wafer-level, and device-level datasets to identify yield trends, anomalies, and failure signatures.
- Develop prototypes using statistical analysis, automation, and AI methods for yield analysis or anomaly detection.
- Participate in technical reviews on test structures, observability features, electrical trims, and excess schemes.
- Create data visualizations, dashboards, and a final technical report and presentation summarizing methods and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, DFT, DV, Process, Backend Test, Reliability, Manufacturing).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful completion of the project.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor devices, digital logic, electronics, integrated circuit testing, or similar engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB and experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) for data access and manipulation.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis, data visualization, and machine learning or AI-enabled workflows.
- Willingness to learn and responsibly apply Generative AI tools for data exploration, code development, documentation, and workflow automation.
- Ability to deliver documented analyses, visualizations, prototypes, and a final technical report within the internship period.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Data Science with interest in semiconductor or hardware engineering, or a related technical field. Relevant coursework or project experience in semiconductor devices, VLSI/digital design, integrated circuit testing, data analytics, statistics, or machine learning is advantageous.
