Job Title

Multi-Product Power & Digital FPGA Engineer II

Role Summary

Join the Multi-Product Power & Digital (MPD) team to develop FPGA solutions for sensor and effector products. Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define requirements, develop architecture and detailed designs, run simulations, and support integration and verification across the product lifecycle.

This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” 0–1 years of relevant professional experience (posting specifies 12 months or less).

Responsibilities

Deliver production-quality FPGA designs and support product lifecycle activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement and maintain FPGA firmware (primarily VHDL) for reliability and maintainability
  • Create and run simulations, synthesis flows, and verification activities
  • Define requirements, develop system and FPGA architecture, and produce detailed design
  • Perform integration, system-level verification, and troubleshooting
  • Produce and maintain requirements, verification plans, user guides, and configuration-managed documentation
  • Collaborate with electrical, systems, and software engineers throughout development

Requirements

Essential qualifications and constraints:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required from day one
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Experience with one or more of: analog/digital electronics, mixed-signal, circuit design/analysis, power electronics, VHDL, FPGA, electrical components, digital signal processing, or PCB design
  • Ability to write reliable, maintainable VHDL code and perform synthesis and simulation
  • Familiarity with electrical lab equipment and system-level debugging

Preferred:

  • Experience with Verilog, FPGA tool flows, and common verification methodologies
  • ABET-accredited degree and a 3.0 cumulative GPA are desirable

Education Requirements

Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related STEM field is required. The posting notes preference for ABET-accredited degrees and a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
