Job Title

MTS Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and test electrical/electronic components and systems for semiconductor products. Own product activities from definition and planning through production, release and end of life.

Collaborate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing teams to move products into production and maintain or upgrade product lines.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires three (3) years of relevant engineering experience in the role or a closely related engineering role; alternate: Bachelor's plus five (5) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience.

Responsibilities

Work on product development and verification across the product lifecycle; analyze problems of moderate scope and recommend engineering methods and evaluation criteria.

• Design, develop, and test ASIC-related components and electronic systems.
• Manage activities from product definition through production, release, and end of life.
• Serve as central technical resource coordinating design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing.
• Perform verification, validation, and maintenance of product designs and upgrades.
• Exercise judgment within company procedures to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and hands-on experience.

• Three (3) years of experience in ASIC design and related engineering tasks.
• Experience with design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
• Proficiency with ASIC design tools: synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis.
• Experience with front-end EDA tools.
• Proficiency in Tcl or Python scripting.
• Experience with ATE testers.
• Familiarity with JTAG or BIST.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) plus five (5) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
