MTS Lead DRAM Device Engineer

Role Summary

The Process Integration Device team develops and transfers next-generation DRAM technologies into high-volume manufacturing. This role provides technical leadership for device development, characterization, yield improvement, and fab ramp support, working across Process Integration, Design, Product Engineering, Quality, and Failure Analysis.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include device engineering leadership, characterization, analysis, and cross-functional coordination to improve yield and product performance.

  • Lead DRAM device initiatives and serve as the primary technical point of contact for device engineering
  • Drive device characterization, electrical data analysis, and issue segmentation
  • Support new node introductions, technology transfers, and production/fab ramp activities through root-cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Provide technical direction to Process Integration, Product Engineering, Design, Quality, and Failure Analysis teams
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices in device analysis, experimentation, and data-driven problem solving

Requirements

  • Experience supporting new node introductions, production yield ramps, or technology transfer activities (must-have)
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, device characterization, and electrical data analysis (must-have)
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving methodologies (must-have)
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (must-have)
  • Hands-on experience with memory technologies such as DRAM, NAND, or NOR (nice-to-have)
  • Understanding of memory architecture, array operation, and margin bin analysis (nice-to-have)
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with AI tools and data analytics applications in semiconductor manufacturing (nice-to-have)

Education Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
