MTS Integration Engineer (Silicon Photonics)
Role Summary
Support the 300mm process integration team for silicon photonics (SiPh) at GlobalFoundries Fab 8. The role owns process integration from development and customer engagement through production transfer and sustaining.
Work with device, module, product line (PL) and business unit (BU) teams to develop, deliver and improve manufacturable processes balancing quality, cost and delivery.
Experience Level
Mid-level - minimum 6 years of relevant experience (experience requirement stated in the posting).
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities focus on process development, cross-functional integration and program execution for SiPh and related device technologies.
- Lead SiPh process development across technologies including RF, FinFET, FDSOI and eNVM.
- Collaborate with process module and device teams to define and implement process solutions.
- Coordinate with PL and BU to define project scope and ensure technical requirements are met.
- Drive technology transfer and ramp to mass production; sustain and improve processes with emphasis on quality, cost and delivery.
- Manage project schedules, scope and cost trade-offs.
- Perform work in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs.

Must-have:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant semiconductor/process integration experience.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering advanced technology into mass production.
- Strong project management skills, including schedule, scope and cost trade-offs.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with FEOL/BEOL processes and technologies such as Planar, FinFET and FDSOI.
- Knowledge of structured problem solving and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills; ability to work with diverse internal and external teams.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering/physical science discipline. Preferred: Ph.D. with industry experience (preferred qualification noted).
