Module Engineer, Test Engineering Department

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and improving test processes and managing high-volume test equipment (ATE and handlers) to support manufacturing of integrated circuits. Works on process development, equipment maintenance, repair, qualification, and continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, cost, productivity, and yield targets.

Interfaces with equipment suppliers and internal customers, participates in technology transfers and factory ramps, and ensures equipment/process readiness and matching across sites.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include ownership of equipment and test process performance, maintenance, and qualification activities.

  • Develop and improve test processes on industry-standard ATE and handler equipment.
  • Own execution of equipment maintenance, repair, installation, conversion, and qualification during factory ramps.
  • Drive continuous improvement of equipment and processes for safety, quality, cost, productivity, defects, and yield.
  • Manage process development line items aligned to high-volume process nodes.
  • Participate in technology transfers, provide training, and audit installation/qualification outcomes to ensure matched processing across sites.
  • Develop and optimize excursion-prevention systems for equipment and processes.
  • Interface with customers to optimize test program interactions with test hardware (electrical and thermomechanical) to meet product health indicators.
  • Detect and resolve discrepant materials or process activities to maintain product quality.

Requirements

Practical skills, workplace behaviors, and preferred technical capabilities.

  • Must-have: Knowledge of schematic/electronic circuitry interpretation.
  • Must-have: Proficient in written and spoken English and able to work effectively in a team.
  • Must-have: Skilled in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and able to manage multiple assignments and meet deliverables.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, ownership mindset, and data-driven approach.
  • Must-have: Willingness to work onsite in a 12-hour rotational shift pattern (4 days per week) as required.
  • Preferred: Experience with data analysis using SQL, Python, R or similar.
  • Preferred: Training and proficiency on industry-standard Tester and Handler equipment (for example Teradyne Flex, Advantest V93K, HonPrec handlers) and familiarity with test program development, sustaining, preventive maintenance, CIP, and problem solving.
  • Preferred: Experience interfacing test programs with hardware and applications to optimize test outcomes.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Automation Control, or another relevant technical or engineering discipline.
