Job Title

Module Development Engineer - RF Test

Role Summary

Develop and qualify analog and RF test solutions from feasibility through production ramp. Work with design, product, manufacturing and supplier teams to improve testability, manufacturability, product performance and yield.

Role requires regular onsite presence in Phoenix, AZ and involves hands-on ATE and bench characterization, test board design, and cross-functional collaboration.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically requires 3+ years of relevant RF design and test experience; specific minimums depend on degree level (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing and delivering RF/analog test solutions and supporting production testing.

  • Drive testability and manufacturability of analog and RF products.
  • Design test boards with suppliers to validate RF products.
  • Develop and optimize production test plans and correlate ATE to design verification.
  • Develop and debug software to control test equipment (BERTs, scopes, ATE) and test flows.
  • Perform ATE and bench device characterization and debug functionality and performance issues.
  • Evaluate new analog IP on ATE and work with design teams to resolve issues.
  • Release production test solutions and support yield optimization and post-release issue resolution.
  • Test and characterize power and thermal behavior; perform thermal profiling and recipe tuning for production thermal control.
  • Provide calibration for power delivery enabling power and performance binning.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications, required clearances, and core technical skills.

  • US citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS security clearance and SCI access.
  • 2+ years of IC test experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in ATE testing, test methodology, electronics design, or product development.
  • 2+ years using lab equipment: mixed-signal oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal/network analyzers, VNAs, TDRs, and signal generators.
  • 2+ years with electrical simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, PowerSI.
  • 3+ years experience with board design using Cadence Allegro.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and cross-functional communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM with 4+ years experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with no additional experience required; degrees in related technical fields are acceptable.
