Job Title

Module Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work on RF module design and simulation for cellular receiver chains. The role focuses on modeling, simulation vs. measurement, developing analysis displays, and creating Python tools to support RF design and test-vector processing. The position reports into the engineering team in Chelmsford and follows a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Experience Level

Professional. Posting requires a minimum of approximately 6 months of relevant experience or an internship.

Responsibilities

Core technical responsibilities include simulation, analysis, and tool development for cellular RF modules.

  • Perform cellular module simulations and validate results against measurements.
  • Build a data display for full-module RX chain analysis mirroring the RX Cascade display.
  • Develop Python scripts and tools for RF design automation and test-vector processing.
  • Create an intermodulation distortion simulation bench applicable to the cellular module.
  • Support RF large-signal simulations with emphasis on receive-path linearity.
  • Integrate simulations in multichip / multitechnology environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering team members and work independently as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience.

  • Experience with RF small-signal simulation in multichip / multitechnology environments.
  • Proficient in Python scripting for RF applications and test-vector processing.
  • Experience with RF large-signal simulation and analysis of receiver linearity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; comfortable in a hybrid on-site schedule.
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-have: experience developing interactive data displays for simulation analysis, hands-on familiarity with RF test plans, and prior work on intermodulation distortion simulation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required. The posting specifies 6 months of relevant experience or completion of an internship. (This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.)
