Job Title
Mixed-Signal Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on verification of RF and mixed-signal blocks and their interfaces inside a wireless system-on-chip (SoC). The role sits within a wireless silicon development team responsible for RF/analog, digital, verification, emulation, and system integration.
Primary mission: ensure silicon-correct functionality and adequate verification coverage while optimizing schedule and time-to-tapeout.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 10 years relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Identify and execute verification activities for RF and mixed-signal IP and their integration into wireless SoCs.
- Design and implement mixed-signal verification strategies and methodologies.
- Develop mixed-signal testbenches, checkers, and tests using SystemVerilog and HDL.
- Apply UVM methodology for verification environments.
- Collaborate with analog/RF designers, digital DV and design teams, and wireless systems engineers to define interfaces and verification plans.
- Analyze failures, debug issues across analog/digital domains, and drive root-cause resolution.
- Balance coverage, performance, and time-to-tapeout trade-offs; maintain verification infrastructure and scripts as needed.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry verification experience focused on RF and mixed-signal blocks and SoCs.
- Proven experience building mixed-signal testbenches, checkers, and tests using SystemVerilog.
- Experience with UVM methodology and HDL (SystemVerilog, Verilog) for verification.
- Strong problem-solving, testing, and debugging skills across analog/digital boundaries.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional design and system teams to drive verification plans.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with UPF, Python, or Matlab for scripting and analysis.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso Composer, ADE, and HED.
- Deep understanding of common analog/RF building blocks and their verification considerations.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BS) required. Field of study not specified in the source.
