Role Summary

Staff-level verification engineer responsible for verification and modeling of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits in the Industrial Business Unit. The role focuses on AMS verification, modeling, and supporting product development through the full product lifecycle.

Experience Level

Senior β€” see Education Requirements for experience guidance. Typical candidate has multiple years of mixed-signal IC verification/design experience and can own AMS assignments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities, building reusable verification infrastructure, and collaborating with design teams to deliver verified silicon.

  • Develop and execute verification plans and strategies for IP, subsystem, and top-level designs.
  • Build SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches with reusable components, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards.
  • Simulate and validate verification use-cases; run and maintain automated regression flows.
  • Collaborate with analog and RTL designers to debug issues, resolve bugs, and improve testability.
  • Contribute to DFT/scan verification and ATPG pattern simulation where applicable.
  • Document verification environments, processes, and methodologies; share best practices.
  • Define and develop block-level modeling and verification strategies; conduct AMS waveform reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and workplace expectations.

  • Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit topologies (DC-DC converters, LDOs, ADCs, bandgaps, etc.).
  • Proficiency with SystemVerilog, OOP concepts, Verilog, SPICE, and mixed-signal simulators.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, TCL, Bash).
  • Ability to problem-solve at circuit and system levels and to drive assignments to completion with little supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Preferred: experience in verification and design of analog circuits, modeling/validation of analog blocks (RNM, Verilog-AMS), and advanced SystemVerilog verification practices.
