Job Title

Mixed Signal IP Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Perform verification of mixed-signal logic intellectual property (IP) to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability across pre-silicon flows. Work on verification plans, testbenches, system-level simulation, and analog behavioral models as part of a cross-functional engineering team within Intel's Central Engineering Group.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical candidates have roughly 2–4 years of relevant verification experience; minimum experience expectations vary by degree (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary duties involve planning, implementing, and executing verification for mixed-signal logic IP and collaborating with design and architecture teams.

  • Develop and execute verification plans aligned to microarchitecture and design specifications.
  • Design and implement verification environments and testbenches using OVM/UVM methodologies.
  • Create and maintain analog behavioral models and reusable verification infrastructure.
  • Run system-level simulation to verify functionality, analyze power and timing, and identify design issues.
  • Debug presilicon failures: reproduce issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with digital and analog architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to meet performance, power, and functional goals.
  • Document test plans, verification results, and present findings in technical reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for initial consideration.

  • Experience with verification methodologies such as OVM and UVM.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and Verilog for test environments and design verification.
  • Experience developing test environments for functional verification of mixed-signal logic components.
  • System-level simulation experience for functionality, power, and timing analysis.
  • Strong debugging skills for presilicon issues and familiarity with verification workflows.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across digital, analog, and physical design teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with power intent design and UPF (Unified Power Format) modeling.

Education Requirements

Degree or equivalent experience required: Bachelor's (BS) with at least 3 years relevant experience, OR Master's (MS) with at least 2 years, OR PhD with at least 1 year; alternate language in the posting allows equivalent practical experience or equivalent knowledge in a specialized field. Specific fields were not listed beyond a generalized "specialized field."
