Mixed Signal Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Advanced Data-converter Group to develop and verify mixed-signal system-on-chip (SoC) designs for advanced wireless applications. The role focuses on creating behavioral and circuit-level models and implementing mixed-signal verification environments to validate functionality and system integration prior to silicon.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career — requires approximately 2+ years of relevant industry experience in pre-silicon mixed-signal verification.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities are verification-focused and require collaboration with design and architecture teams.
- Develop analog circuit and system-level models to support accurate verification of functionality and connectivity within integrated systems.
- Implement mixed-signal simulation testbenches that exercise product usage scenarios.
- Integrate behavioral and circuit models into verification environments and run mixed-signal simulations.
- Work with design and architecture teams to validate models and resolve verification issues.
- Document verification results and trace issues through to closure with design teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Proficient modeling of analog circuits using SystemVerilog (including RNM), Verilog-AMS, or SystemC.
- Experience with circuit design, simulation, and verification methodologies.
- Practical programming/scripting experience (Perl, Python, C/C++).
- Strong teamwork, time management, and self-directed work habits.
- Nice-to-have: experience with MATLAB, RTL modeling, SystemVerilog UVM, and familiarity with common EDA tools (Virtuoso, Incisive, Spectre).
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of RF wireless communication systems and process automation using shell/perl/python.
Education Requirements
Requires a BSEE or MSEE (Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering) with approximately 2+ years of industry experience in pre-silicon mixed-signal verification.
