Mixed Signal Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and executing mixed-signal verification strategies to validate chip designs. Works within the product development engineering team and collaborates with design, systems, verification, characterization, test and product engineers to define, verify, and productize analog and mixed-signal ICs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and performing full-chip verification and improving verification methodology and practices.

  • Create real-number models of analog blocks for digital mixed-signal (DMS) verification.
  • Execute full-chip verification in primarily digital (DMS) and primarily analog mixed-signal (AMS) environments.
  • Define and deploy verification best practices to improve new product development (NPD) execution.
  • Identify gaps in verification methodology and drive improvements in the pre-RTM chip design flow.
  • Promote and deploy verification improvements across projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, systems, characterization, test, and product engineering teams.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of verification experience; practical experience with mixed-signal verification (DMS or AMS).
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Real-number modeling experience (DMS); AMS verification across multiple silicon process technologies; experience with verification and design tools and flows; familiarity with Verilog, Verilog-AMS, Cadence Virtuoso, Xcelium, Spectre; experience across analog and digital domains; strong communication, teaming, and problem-solving skills; track record of successful NPD execution.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required. A Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred. No specific certifications were listed.
