Mixed-Signal Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver high-speed PAM4 SerDes analog and mixed-signal IP for data center, AI, and networking products. Work within an R&D team to define analog sub-block specifications, implement transistor-level circuits, and integrate verified IP into customer-facing products.
The role requires close technical collaboration with layout, verification, and customer teams to balance power, performance, and area while ensuring robust silicon results.

Responsibilities
Design and verify analog sub-blocks for PAM4 SerDes and support IP integration.
- Define analog sub-block specifications based on industry standards.
- Architect and optimize PLLs, equalizers, CDRs, and transmit drivers.
- Run transistor-level SPICE simulations, including corner analysis and Monte Carlo verification.
- Collaborate with layout engineers to minimize parasitics and ensure signal integrity.
- Present simulation results and design trade-offs to internal teams and customers.
- Document circuit functionality, verification coverage, and test plans for IP integration.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Strong experience with transistor-level CMOS design and SerDes sub-circuits.
- Proficiency with SPICE simulation tools (e.g., HSPICE, Spectre).
- Experience with transistor-level verification: corner analysis and Monte Carlo.
- Practical understanding of layout effects and experience working with layout teams.
- Scripting skills for simulation automation (TCL, Python, or MATLAB).
- Clear technical communication and documentation skills for internal and customer-facing presentations.
Education Requirements
