Job Title

Micro-Architect and RTL Designer

Role Summary

Design and deliver micro-architecture and RTL for high-performance ASICs/SoCs. Work on subsystem and chip-level implementations across compute, memory-management, and high-speed connectivity within the Hardware team.

Report to the Hardware organization. This is a hybrid role based in Mountain View, CA with an on-site cadence of Tuesday–Thursday.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 4+ years of relevant industry experience; candidates should have production silicon experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop micro-architecture and RTL from specification to sign-off for subsystems or chip-level blocks.
  • Own design deliverables, schedule reviews, and drive area/timing closure toward design freeze and tapeout.
  • Collaborate closely with verification, DFT, and physical design teams to meet performance, power, and area targets.
  • Integrate and validate blocks with synthesis, lint, and sign-off flows.
  • Contribute to architecture-to-design methodology for scalable block, subsystem, and full-chip flows.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications:

  • Concept-to-silicon experience delivering ASIC/SoC subsystems or top-level functions from architecture to production silicon.
  • 4+ years hands-on experience with SystemVerilog, Python, and C/C++ used in chip design flows.
  • Production-proven micro-architecture and RTL design experience for high-performance compute, memory management, or high-speed connectivity.
  • Experience working with verification teams to meet performance and coverage goals.
  • Practical experience with synthesis, design lint, and flows required for sign-off quality RTL.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mountain View, CA three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) and authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with emulation/verification platforms and methodologies.
  • Experience with high-speed I/O IP and logic that moves or manages data (caches, buffers, crossbars).

Education Requirements

Not specified.
