Job Title

Metrology Process Development Engineer

Role Summary

Develop, evaluate, and deploy semiconductor metrology solutions to support next-generation DRAM and HBM technologies. Collaborate with Process Integration, Manufacturing, Yield Improvement, equipment engineering, and suppliers to establish metrology strategies, improve process control, and accelerate memory technology development.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and qualify new metrology methodologies for advanced DRAM/HBM nodes.
  • Define process control strategies and establish monitoring plans for critical process modules.
  • Evaluate, introduce, and qualify new metrology tools and measurement capabilities.
  • Analyze experimental and production data to improve measurement accuracy, tool matching, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Process Integration, Manufacturing, Yield, and Equipment Engineering teams.
  • Lead supplier engagement and technical reviews with metrology vendors.
  • Support capital planning, tool justification, installation, qualification, and ramp activities.
  • Lead problem-solving related to process variation and metrology performance.
  • Apply AI-enabled methods to enhance measurement workflows and data analysis.

Requirements

  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Familiarity with XRD, SIMS, OCD, Scatterometry, CD-SEM, film metrology, or similar techniques.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience with statistical data analysis and process control methodologies.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience with advanced memory technologies such as DRAM, HBM, or NAND.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
