MemPHY IP Design Senior Manager
Role Summary
Lead a team responsible for digital aspects of DDR and high-performance memory PHY IP development. Drive design architecture, methodology improvements, tool adoption, and cross-functional integration for multiple process nodes and global customers.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 10+ years of relevant IC design experience and 3+ years of people management.
Responsibilities
Manage technical delivery, team development, and cross-team collaboration for MemPHY IP projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of 3–6 senior designers working on high-speed MemPHY IP across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with verification, controller, physical design, release, PEM, and other teams to deliver IP and documentation.
- Work with AE and PEM teams to support IP integration and silicon bring-up for customers.
- Contribute to digital IP design and methodology improvements and adopt new EDA tools and flows.
- Prioritize and manage multiple project deliverables and schedules.
Requirements
Key must-have technical skills, management experience, and communication abilities.
- 10+ years in mixed-signal or IC design with strong background in PHY architectures.
- 3+ years of people management experience leading high-performance design teams.
- Proven expertise in high-speed PHY design: architectures, circuits, and timing implementation.
- Familiarity with HBM, DDR, and HBI/UCIe protocols.
- Strong project management and ability to prioritize across multiple efforts.
- Fluent communication in Mandarin and English.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; advanced degree preferred. (Education requirement stated by employer.)
