Role Summary:
The Memory Systems Design Engineer is responsible for leading memory interface support for high-speed memory technologies. This role involves working with internal and external teams to ensure the successful validation and implementation of DDR/LPDDR/GDDR technologies relevant to AMD's SOC products.
Experience Level:
This position is aimed at candidates with substantial experience in memory systems engineering, specifically in the areas of design, validation, and post-silicon debug.
Responsibilities:
- Provide systems engineering and post-silicon support for memory interface IP.
- Prepare test plans and review simulation results in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Lead the bring-up support from silicon to initial production.
- Conduct system-level debugging and root cause analysis, collaborating with various engineering teams.
- Support customer platform issues as needed.
Requirements:
Candidates should possess deep knowledge of DRAM architecture, signal integrity, and high-speed protocols. Experience with hardware architecture, post-silicon debug, and hands-on laboratory equipment is required. Familiarity with programming/scripting languages and operating systems (Windows and Linux) is also necessary.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required for this role.
