This position is for a Memory Systems Design Engineer within the Client and Graphics Platform Engineering team located in Austin, Texas. The role focuses on qualifying and delivering advanced memory technologies aimed at enhancing computing experiences across PCs, gaming, and data centers.
The employee will engage with both internal engineering teams and external partners in a laboratory environment to enable, debug, and qualify the latest memory technologies, including LPDDR5x/6, DDR5, GDDR6/7. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of DRAM, memory controller, and PHY architecture. Prior experience in high-speed I/O design and familiarity with industry-standard high-speed protocols is preferred.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required for this position. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a strong detail-oriented approach. Programming knowledge in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or Perl is also beneficial.
