Job Title
Memory Circuit Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for verification and end-to-end analysis of full-chip gate-level memory designs and associated low-power/power-management features across DDR5/LPDDR5/DDR6/LPDDR6 families.
Will own verification flows, develop testcases and environments, debug pre-silicon designs, and collaborate with global design and verification teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level (mid-career). No specific years of experience stated.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Set direction and lead verification efforts within assigned areas of expertise.
- Simulate, analyze, and debug pre-silicon full-chip designs, including gate-level simulations with delays and logic schematic analysis.
- Develop test cases and stimulus to increase functional coverage for DRAM and emerging memory architectures and features.
- Develop and maintain verification environments, test benches and test vectors; run regressions and perform coverage analysis.
- Contribute to verification methodology and new verification flows to address complex design challenges.
- Collaborate with international colleagues and cross-functional teams to deploy scalable verification solutions, including AI-based automation where appropriate.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required; where appropriate, items marked as nice-to-have are listed separately.
- Proficient in Verilog; experience with SystemVerilog and UVM testbenches.
- Hands-on experience with gate-level simulations (with delays) and logic schematic analysis.
- Timing analysis experience (setup/hold and critical data path timing analysis).
- Experience in memory domains (DRAM, SRAM or related memory technologies).
- Strong analytical skills for CMOS and gate-level circuit designs; able to simulate and debug full-chip designs.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
-
Nice-to-have: PLI coding, prior use of AI-assisted tools to improve verification productivity, and experience identifying automation opportunities for AI-based solutions.
