Role Summary

Join the Siemens PowerPro core R&D team to develop the engines used for RTL and gate-level power estimation. You will design and implement high-performance C++ software, contribute to product architecture, and build tools for power analysis and simulation data processing.

This role is oriented toward early-career engineers and offers hands-on work on algorithms, performance optimization, and integration of modern techniques such as AI/ML to improve power estimation.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early-career β€” 0+ years of professional experience; freshers and recent graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and delivering components of the power estimation toolchain:

  • Develop and optimize core C++ applications for RTL and gate-level power analysis and estimation.
  • Drive architecture, design, and implementation of new product features in the power estimation line.
  • Design efficient algorithms to process large simulation waveforms, switching activity data, and netlists.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI/ML techniques to improve model performance, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and deliver robust, high-performance solutions.

Requirements

Core technical skills and desirable background:

  • Strong proficiency in C++, including STL, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Basic understanding of digital design concepts and hardware description languages (Verilog or VHDL).
  • Experience or interest in designing algorithms to handle large simulation datasets and optimize performance.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, Perl, sed, or awk is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EDA tools, logic simulation, or hardware waveform formats is desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed, hybrid team and communicate technical decisions clearly.

Education Requirements

B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
