MCU Software Test Engineer Intern
Role Summary
Work on testing and validation of MCU software including bare-metal SDKs, RTOS components, drivers, protocol stacks and boot loaders. Contribute to test automation, continuous integration and MCU tool support within the MCU software team in Suzhou.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Candidates should be available for at least a 6-month continuous internship.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on developing and executing tests and automation to ensure MCU software quality.
- Develop, port and maintain tests for MCU software: bare-metal SDK, RTOS, drivers, stacks and boot loader.
- Design and develop automated test tools and continuous integration tests.
- Analyze MCU software modules and provide technical comments on peripheral protocols and subsystems (I2S, SPI, CAN, UART, Wi‑Fi, BLE, Secure subsystems, NFC, Touch, Audio, Video, AI, etc.).
- Support MCU test tools, debugging and test environment setup.
- Document test results and report issues to development teams.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills for the internship.
- Availability for a continuous internship of at least 6 months.
- Good knowledge of operating systems, data structures and embedded systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team, adapt, and be self-motivated.
- Practical experience with scripting or test languages (e.g., Python or Ruby) is a plus.
- Familiarity with RTOS concepts and protocol stacks; knowledge of USB stack, CAN or Ethernet is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree students in Microelectronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical disciplines.
