Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain calibration and test software for AR/VR devices and custom fixtures.
- Define and manage test software architecture, device OS interactions, and factory integration.
- Apply test-driven development, automated deployment, and hardware-in-the-loop testing practices.
- Coordinate with IT/InfoSec to deploy distributed test systems across multiple vendor sites.
- Create test specifications, procedures, debug guides, and validate software releases (including repeatability and negative testing).
- Troubleshoot software and hardware aspects of test systems and support rollouts and validations at manufacturing partners.
- Work with third-party integrators to design, develop, and fabricate test systems and modify test sequences and calibration algorithms.
- Support failure analysis on returned systems and use data to improve test strategies and processes.
- Domestic and international travel up to 50% to support manufacturing partners and deployments.

- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and validating software releases.
- Familiarity with cloud and database technologies such as AWS and SQL.
- Experience developing on both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Proven ability to introduce and qualify manufacturing test solutions for production and perform NPI and sustaining support.
- Experience using design-of-experiments (DOE) approaches and statistical process methods (6s, SPC, Cpk) for production data analysis.
-
Nice-to-have: AI tool integration and orchestration experience, experience with responsible/ethical AI practices, cryptographic protocol implementation, and additional full-stack web development skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred postings note a Bachelor's with ~5+ years' relevant experience.
