Manufacturing Test Engineer
Role Summary
Owner of manufacturing test activities for released products in the Kaohsiung site. Responsible for introducing and validating test programs for mass production, analyzing NPI test data, qualifying test hardware, managing hold-lot dispositions, and supporting test automation and process improvements.
Works cross-functionally with process owners, BL/PETE, and QA to ensure test readiness and product quality.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires 3+ years' experience as a Test Engineer.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Own manufacturing testing for released products and ensure test readiness for mass production.
- Introduce and validate test programs for production lines.
- Analyze NPI test data after R-gate and provide corrective feedback to BL/PETE.
- Debug, qualify and document duplicate test hardware; perform MSC (Gage R&R) analysis and produce release reports.
- Manage first-line hold-lot disposition including low-yield and QA failures.
- Define and improve testing processes, documentation, and best practices with process owners.
- Participate in or lead test automation initiatives where applicable.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- 3+ years as a Test Engineer or equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of software and system testing methodologies.
- Experience with Linux environments and command-line operations.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, C++).
- Experience in system, embedded, hardware, or manufacturing testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership for product quality.
- English communication skills: reading and writing.
