Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Qualify manufacturing ramps into high-volume production and ensure product and process quality and reliability. Partner with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve manufacturing issues, drive continuous improvement, and optimize yield and manufacturing efficiency.

Entry-level β 0β1+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years with a Master's degree.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include qualifying ramps, monitoring quality metrics, and managing excursions and supplier quality.
- Oversee qualification of manufacturing ramps into high-volume production to meet quality and reliability targets.
- Specify inspection and testing methods; conduct quality assessments and process audits.
- Develop and monitor health and performance indicators for product quality, reliability, cost, and efficiency.
- Lead excursion management: early detection, containment, risk assessment, and corrective actions.
- Manage change control and perform supplier audits; drive supplier continuous improvement.
- Represent quality and reliability in engineering forums and recommend improvements.
- Apply statistics and machine learning to analyze structured and unstructured data for disposition decisions.
- Respond to customer-reported manufacturing issues and provide engineering solutions.
Requirements
Must-have skills and preferred competencies.
- Experience executing complex manufacturing ramps or projects; demonstrated cross-functional teamwork.
- Effective written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with inspection/test specification, process audits, and change control.
- Experience managing excursions, performing risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
- Data analysis skills and familiarity with statistical methods for decision making.
- Ability to work on-site in Chengdu and coordinate with global teams.
- Preferred: reliability fundamentals, modeling and measurement techniques, and failure-mode analysis.
- Preferred: semiconductor device physics, reliability verification methods, machine learning applications, and supplier quality improvement.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). A Master's degree in engineering is accepted and may qualify with reduced professional experience requirements. The posting allows equivalent experience in lieu of a specified degree.
