Manufacturing Product/Test Engineer

Role Summary

This role supports product introduction and production test for semiconductor products. The engineer interfaces with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing teams to resolve production issues, improve yields, and reduce costs.

The position participates in a structured development program for new college graduates and will perform day-to-day test-floor support, failure analysis, and new test system buyoffs.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include supporting production test operations and leading introduction of test-related changes into manufacturing.

  • Support daily production issues on the test floor, including low-yield analysis, disposition, and setup failure debugging (hardware and software).
  • Perform detailed analytical studies of failures and coordinate improvements with product engineering (test programs, hardware, setups).
  • Lead and participate in productivity and yield-improvement projects (test-time reduction, test insertion/removal, legacy tester conversion).
  • Support new product releases from development sites and perform rigorous buyoff of new test systems per manufacturing requirements.
  • Lead qualification and change-management approval for introduction of new tools, equipment, or test processes into manufacturing.
