Manufacturing Product Engineer (DMOS6)

Role Summary

Manage new product introduction and production-support engineering for wafer/device products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production. Work with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering to resolve production issues and improve yield and productivity.

Experience Level

Mid-level — approximately 5 years of relevant product-engineering experience at the wafer/device level is required.

Responsibilities

Accountable for sustaining production quality and enabling new product releases at the test floor and wafer probe level.

• Support daily production issues on test floor and wafer probe: low-yield analysis, disposition, setup failure debugging (hardware and software), and resolution.
• Perform detailed analytical studies and coordinate with product engineering for corrective actions (test program, hardware, setup).
• Drive productivity and yield improvement projects: test time reduction, test insertion removal, legacy tester conversion, etc.
• Support new product releases from development sites and perform rigorous buyoff of new test systems to manufacturing requirements.
• Lead introduction and qualification of new tools/equipment/test processes and manage change-approval processes.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate effectiveness in this role.

• Must-have: 5 years of experience as a Product Engineer at the wafer/device level.
• Must-have: Proven troubleshooting and debugging experience on test floors and wafer probe equipment, including both hardware and software issues.
• Must-have: Strong data-analysis, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills for yield and failure analysis.
• Must-have: Experience driving productivity or yield improvement projects and implementing test-equipment/process changes.
• Must-have: Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate across functions to deliver projects on schedule.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with GaN processing/testing and deep device-physics knowledge.
• Nice-to-have: Strong verbal and written communication, time-management, and the ability to work effectively in interrupt-driven, fast-paced environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field is required. A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is preferred. (No mention of acceptable equivalent-experience language was provided.)
