Manufacturing Product Engineer - Day Shift

Role Summary

Manufacturing Product Engineer responsible for new product introduction and ongoing production support for assigned semiconductor products. Works with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering to diagnose product and production issues, implement corrective actions, and drive yield, cost and productivity improvements.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Posting specifies a minimum of 3 years of related product engineering experience; semiconductor production or wafer fabrication experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on yield analysis, production support and process/test improvements.

  • Support daily production through low-yield analysis and disposition decisions.
  • Perform detailed analytical studies and coordinate with product engineering on test programs, hardware, and setup changes.
  • Lead and support productivity improvement projects (yield improvement, test-time reduction, test insertion/removal, legacy tester conversion).
  • Support new product releases by performing Cpk and yield analysis during ramp to manufacturing.
  • Analyze data for new tool and process releases and support qualification into production.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills and workplace behaviors.

  • Must-have: Minimum 3 years related product engineering experience; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to work in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced environment and deliver projects on time.
  • Strong time-management and ability to build influential relationships.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with wafer fabrication, device physics, circuit analysis, data analysis, and test program changes.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required: Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or a closely related engineering/technical field (Bachelor's Degree specified in job info).
