Report to the Senior Director of Engineering and coordinate with IC design, systems engineering, global manufacturing, and foundry partners to ensure quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Experience Level
Senior - minimum of 8 years' experience in semiconductor Test Engineering; prior supervisory or lead role required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Test Development and Product Validation engineers.
- Define and implement wafer probe and final packaged test strategies for high-voltage analog and mixed-signal ICs.
- Oversee ATE load board, probe card, and test program development and debugging (industry-standard platforms such as Teradyne ETS/Eagle 364 or similar).
- Collaborate with IC Design and Systems Engineering to define and validate Design-for-Test methods (digital scan, Iddq, SHOVE, GateStress).
- Drive silicon characterization across temperature extremes and process corners and manage Pre-Production Release (PPR) to Release to Production (RTP) transitions.
- Partner with manufacturing and foundry teams to monitor yields, lead yield-enhancement initiatives, and resolve production test issues.
- Prepare and present test metrics and technical status to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills. Items listed as "Must-have" are required.
Must-have
- Minimum 8 years' experience in semiconductor Test Engineering with focus on analog, mixed-signal, or high-voltage power IC testing.
- Proven experience in a lead, principal, or supervisory role managing engineering teams or projects.
- Deep expertise in ATE test program development, debugging, and test-hardware design (schematics, PCB layout for test boards).
- Strong understanding of high-voltage testing challenges (isolation barriers, partial discharge, transient measurements).
- Familiarity with automotive qualification standards and product quality tools (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262/ASIL, DFMEA/PFMEA, APQP).
- Proficiency with scripting for test automation and data analysis (Python, C/C++ or similar).
- Effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with Teradyne ETS/Eagle 364 or similar mixed-signal testers and probe card development.
