Role Summary

Lead a team in the CAD Sign-Off group responsible for CAD flow development, circuit-level studies, and design methodology to support silicon sign-off for advanced chips. The role manages execution, quality, and cross-group alignment across internal CAD development and circuit engineering activities.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 8+ years of engineering or software development experience, including 3+ years in a team management role in CAD or backend design domains.

Responsibilities

Manage the team's delivery and cross-group coordination across CAD sign-off and circuit analysis workstreams.

• Track and execute activities spanning internal CAD flow development and circuit-level studies.
• Lead and coordinate engineers across CAD sign-off, circuit analysis, and design methodology.
• Drive collaboration with chip design teams, full-chip engineers, and other CAD/design groups globally to achieve sign-off convergence.
• Act as primary interface between the team and other engineering groups to align priorities and share methodologies.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks early, propose mitigations, and keep projects on schedule.
• Foster a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• 8+ years of engineering or software development experience in CAD, EDA, or circuit design environments.
• 3+ years in team management or leadership within CAD or backend design domains.
• Proven ability to track, manage, and complete complex engineering activities across multiple workstreams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to work effectively both within a focused engineering team and in cross-group, cross-site collaborative settings.

Nice-to-have:

• Background in circuit design or analysis; familiarity with sign-off domains such as STA, power integrity, IR-drop, or EM.
• Experience conducting or reviewing circuit studies, feasibility analyses, or design methodology evaluations.
• Familiarity with EDA tools such as PrimeTime, RedHawk, or similar sign-off platforms.
• Track record of successful collaboration across multiple engineering teams or organizations.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
