Manager, Networking Firmware Engineering

Role Summary

Manage and mentor a firmware development team responsible for NVIDIA NIC firmware at the Yokneam site. Lead feature implementation and verification across pre- and post-silicon environments while coordinating with architecture and software teams.

Experience Level

Senior — requires approximately 6+ years of professional experience and at least 2+ years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Lead a group of firmware engineers; provide technical direction, mentorship, and career development.
• Collaborate with architecture and software design teams to define and deliver firmware features.
• Implement new features in NIC firmware for pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
• Develop and maintain verification tests for advanced firmware features in a complex testing environment.
• Perform system debug and analyze HW/FW/SW interactions to resolve issues.
• Participate in software project lifecycle activities including qualification, maintenance, and release processes.

Requirements

Must-have:

• 2+ years of managerial experience leading engineering teams.
• 6+ years of total professional experience in firmware or related software development.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, independent worker with strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of network protocols.
• Experience with real-time programming.
• Familiarity with Agile development methods.
• Experience with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and Docker.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
