Manager, EDA Tools and Relationships
Role Summary
Lead a team responsible for evaluating, integrating, and supporting third-party EDA tools and workflows for NVIDIA's mixed-signal circuit design organization. Combine people leadership, technical direction, and vendor relationship management to improve design quality and reduce cycle time.
Experience Level
Senior β requires substantial engineering and management experience (see Requirements).
Responsibilities
Primary duties include technical leadership, team development, and external vendor engagement to enable production EDA workflows.
- Explore and guide the use of agentic-AI capabilities in EDA workflows where they improve efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers focused on EDA workflows and tool enablement.
- Define and execute strategy for evaluating, integrating, deploying, and supporting third-party EDA tools.
- Own and manage key EDA vendor relationships, including technical engagement and roadmap alignment.
- Drive internal adoption of new workflows via communication, training, and integration support.
Requirements

Must-have: 10+ years in circuit design methodology, CAD/EDA enablement, or related engineering infrastructure roles.

Must-have: Minimum 3 years of direct people management or equivalent leadership experience.

Must-have: Hands-on experience with Cadence, Siemens, and Synopsys custom design environments (examples: Virtuoso, Solido Design Environment, Custom Compiler).

Must-have: Proven ability to work across internal teams and with external vendors; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Cadence ADE and transient simulators (alps, HSPICE, PrimeSim, SpectreX).

Nice-to-have: Experience with tools such as Totem, HFSS, thermal/mechanical solvers, MATLAB, layout viewing/manipulation, or influencing EDA vendor roadmaps.

Nice-to-have: Exposure to AI algorithms, AI-assisted flows, or emerging agentic EDA methodologies.
Education Requirements
BSEE, BSCE, or equivalent international degree, or equivalent practical experience.
