Manager, Design Engineering
Role Summary
Lead a team of RF filter designers developing BAW, SAW and non-acoustic filter products and multi-function modules for defense and wireless infrastructure markets (Radar, EW, GPS, Space, SatCom, Fixed Wireless, etc.).
Balance technical leadership, schedule delivery, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement to grow product capability and business outcomes.
Experience Level
Senior / Management. Requires design management experience; specific posting indicates 3+ years design management in filter design and 3+ years direct acoustic design experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Manage design activities, schedules, and technical delivery for RF filter products and modules.
- Lead and mentor a team of RF filter design engineers for new product development and sustaining engineering.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing, Applications, Test, Quality, Project Management and Research to define and deliver product requirements.
- Evaluate research data and specifications for product feasibility and resolve issues during development.
- Track project progress, generate status reports, and provide technical program updates.
- Analyze test data to verify designs meet functional and performance specifications.
- Contribute to departmental budgeting and resource planning.
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and develop team skills.
- Drive continuous improvement of design flow, cycle time, and schedule.

Education Requirements
PhD, master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics (the posting lists all three degree levels in those fields).
