Role Summary
Lead a global data science and analytics organization supporting semiconductor manufacturing at Fab 10A. Drive data pipelines, automated reporting, statistical and machine-learning models, and cross-functional programs to identify yield detractors and improve process capability.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role requires substantial industry experience (see Requirements) and demonstrated experience leading global analytics or data science teams.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, delivery management, and applying analytics to manufacturing problems.
- Lead and develop global engineering and analytics teams; recruit, mentor, and grow technical staff.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to analyze inline, param, and probe data to identify top yield detractors.
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and automation for extraction, cleansing, and analysis of SQL, sensor, and tool log data.
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning to troubleshoot yield issues and support defect-reduction strategies.
- Support Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze results to improve process capability and margins.
- Develop automated reports and dashboards to communicate technical findings and project outcomes to stakeholders.
- Manage a multi-stream delivery portfolio, maintain prioritization, risk transparency, and align dependencies across Yield, LPD, Cost, IET, and Planning teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Minimum 12+ years overall experience with at least 2β3 years leading global analytics or data science teams.
- Prior experience in the semiconductor industry with understanding of fabrication processes, equipment, and device physics.
- Minimum 8 years of Python programming and experience using SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with cloud and data platforms such as GCP and Snowflake.
- Minimum 8 years of statistical analysis experience and familiarity with methodologies such as SPC, DOE, FDC/EDA.
- Experience building data pipelines, automating reports, and delivering production analytics solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional communication skills; ability to influence technical direction.
Preferred / Nice-to-have:
- Experience with data visualization frameworks (Dash, Plotly, Streamlit, Angular) and dashboard automation.
- Familiarity with development and delivery tools such as GitHub and JIRA.
- Experience with code-generation/assistant tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Code Assist) and AI-driven engineering acceleration.
- Track record delivering multi-stream, cross-functional data engineering programs and improving data quality and platform performance.
- Knowledge of memory architecture (NAND) is an advantage.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering (specified).
