Manager, Data Center MODS
Role Summary
Manage the Data Center MODS team in Taipei, leading engineers who develop and support NVIDIA's GPU diagnostic tool (MODS). Collaborate with MODS teams in the US and India, hire and mentor engineers, and contribute technically as required.
This role combines people management with hands-on technical work to improve diagnostics, drive root-cause analysis, and raise software quality.
Experience Level
Senior - requires 8+ years of system software experience and 4+ years of team management experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include operational support, team leadership, and continuous improvement of MODS software and processes.
- Prioritize and support MODS issues reported from local NPI projects.
- Coordinate with customer diagnostics teams to resolve customer MODS issues.
- Recruit, mentor, and groom engineers and future technical leaders.
- Drive root-cause analysis of critical issues, implement corrective actions, and improve software quality.
- Adopt AI tools and workflows to improve team efficiency and output quality.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and contribute code when required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 8+ years of system software development experience working in large codebases and deep driver stacks.
- 4+ years of engineering team management experience.
- Strong system design skills.
- Proficient in C/C++; Python is a plus.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, kernel drivers, and device programming.
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and change.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering - or equivalent practical experience.
