Manager ASIC Digital Design
Role Summary
Lead development of next-generation RISC-V processors and interconnect subsystems within the MIPS organization. Drive verification strategy and deliver high-performance CPU/IP solutions.
Manage a global ASIC design and verification team, establish engineering processes, and coordinate across architecture, RTL, modeling, and software groups.
Experience Level
Senior-level β typically 10+ years of ASIC design/verification experience and 3+ years of team leadership.
Responsibilities
Manage verification and delivery of complex processor and interconnect IP while coordinating cross-functionally.
- Lead and manage ASIC design and verification teams for processor or interconnect subsystems.
- Define and drive UVM-based verification strategy and coverage closure.
- Deliver complex CPU/IP verification programs with high quality.
- Collaborate with global architecture, RTL, modeling, and software teams.
- Drive cross-functional execution and influence technical decisions.
- Establish engineering processes and best practices.
- Mentor and develop team members.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools experience, and leadership capability.
- 10+ years ASIC design/verification experience.
- 3+ years of team leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of RISC-V, processor architecture, or interconnect design.
- Expertise in UVM and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with simulation tools such as VCS or Questa.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (as stated in the posting).
