Manager, Algorithm Development (AI/ML)
Role Summary
Lead and scale a team of AI and algorithm engineers to define and deliver AI solutions that are integrated into product lines. The role combines hands-on research and engineering with technical leadership to move prototypes to production.
Experience Level
Senior — 5+ years in AI/Machine Learning/Deep Learning/algorithm development and 2+ years of technical leadership or team management.
Responsibilities
Accountable for technical direction, delivery, and team growth for AI initiatives.
- Lead and grow a team of AI/algorithm engineers (ML, DL, LLMs).
- Define and drive the AI roadmap aligned with product and business goals.
- Architect AI systems and ensure integration with Frontline products.
- Contribute hands-on to research, prototyping, implementation, and production deployment.
- Drive adoption of advanced AI techniques such as LLMs, RAG, and generative AI.
- Collaborate with software, product, and application teams to deliver complete solutions.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical leadership, and uphold engineering standards for scalability and production readiness.
Requirements
Key required skills and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in AI / Machine Learning / Deep Learning / algorithm development.
- 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or managing engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience developing and delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions.
- Strong software engineering skills (Python, C++ or similar).
- Deep learning and ML system design expertise (both coding and architecture).
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and other generative AI techniques.
- Prior work on product-facing systems or imaging/semiconductor-related applications.
Education Requirements
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (explicitly stated).
