Machine Learning Engineer, AI Models
TenstorrentJob Title
Machine Learning Engineer, AI Models
Role Summary
Join Tenstorrent's AI Models team to port, tune, and validate large language and vision models on a custom AI accelerator. You will own real workloads end-to-end and optimize them for latency, throughput, and accuracy at silicon scale.
This role is hybrid, based in Cyprus, and involves close collaboration with compiler, kernel, and hardware teams to drive system-level performance improvements.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The team considers candidates at multiple experience levels during hiring and will align offers to the assessed level.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on making state-of-the-art ML models run efficiently and correctly on custom hardware.
- Port, tune, and validate LLMs and vision models on Tenstorrent's accelerator.
- Bring up, run, and debug models implemented in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Analyze model behavior and performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks across software, kernels, and hardware.
- Improve execution efficiency, correctness, scalability, and resource use in production deployments.
- Work with compiler, kernel, and hardware teams to implement system-level optimizations.
- Translate research-grade architectures into reliable, production-ready deployments.
Requirements
Must-have skills and constraints for candidates.
- Proven experience building and running ML models in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong understanding of modern ML model architectures (for example, transformers).
- Solid software engineering fundamentals with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, research-meets-engineering environment.
- Employment contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology; offers may depend on citizenship, permanent residency, or ability to obtain export licenses.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with profiling or performance tuning.
- Familiarity with quantization, FlashAttention, kernel fusion, or memory-hierarchy optimizations.
- Experience with C++, CUDA, or systems-level programming.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
