Machine Learning Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement digital micro-architecture and RTL for low-power machine-learning accelerators and SoCs. Work closely with architecture, verification, physical design, and system teams to deliver production silicon and meet power, performance, and integration targets.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of relevant experience as a hardware design engineer on production silicon shipped in volume.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include micro-architecture, RTL design, integration, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver complex IPs and subsystems.
- Contribute to ASIC digital micro-architecture and RTL design.
- Perform performance and power analysis; help meet power and performance targets.
- Map algorithms to hardware and specify requirements for IP and subsystem integration.
- Collaborate with Verification, Physical Design, and Design-for-Test teams.
- Develop micro-architecture, RTL coding, and design verification for complex IP blocks.
- Drive IP/sub-system micro-architecture and RTL design in partnership with DV and PD leads.

- Must-have: Proven ability to communicate technical design decisions and trade-offs to verification, physical design, and architecture teams.
- Must-have: Experience with performance/power analysis and meeting power/performance targets.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with ML accelerator subsystems, top-level design, and SoC integration/ASIC architecture.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of microcontrollers, DSP, CDC, and power sequencing.
- Nice-to-have: Experience integrating AI tools to optimize workflows and experience with responsible, ethical AI practices.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
