Job Title

LTD Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

As a Product Development Engineer in Logic Technology Development (LTD) within Intel Foundry, you will develop and validate test programs and workflows to improve yield, performance, and reliability for advanced process technologies. The role requires close coordination with test operations and cross-functional teams including design, yield, device, tester, and quality.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical candidates have 3+ years of relevant product or test development experience; experienced PhD holders may qualify with less industry experience depending on background.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and validating test programs and coordinating test operations:

  • Define test plans and roadmaps with internal customers aligned to tool capabilities and resources.
  • Develop test content for parametric (ETest), cache/array, and analog/mixed-signal test programs.
  • Coordinate and validate results for new products through Test operations.
  • Document and validate changes to existing test programs.
  • Modify test conditions for engineering requests and summarize results.
  • Collaborate with tester module engineers to improve operations and tool performance.
  • Debug unexpected or anomalous test results and provide technical summaries.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for initial consideration.

  • Experience developing or validating test programs for wafer sort, unit class test, burn-in, or parametric testing.
  • Familiarity with test operations and the ability to coordinate validation activities with production teams and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong debugging and data-analysis skills for interpreting test results.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hillsboro, OR and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Nice to have: experience with electrical measurements, circuit analysis, device characterization, or instrumentation.
  • Nice to have: programming experience in Unix, C/C++ or Python.

Education Requirements

Minimum: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; OR MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 3+ years of product development engineering experience.
