LTD Frame Automation Software Engineer
Role Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain software tools, flows, and web-based interfaces used for design automation, process design, or manufacturing. Work on front-end and back-end components, databases, APIs, and CI/CD automation to support design teams and EDA infrastructures.
Team is located in Hillsboro, OR; this role requires on-site presence.
Experience Level
Entry-level / College grad. The posting requests approximately 6+ months of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include delivering software and automation that enable hardware design and manufacturing workflows.
- Design, implement, test, and debug software tools, flows, and methodologies for design automation.
- Capture user stories and requirements; translate into functional and test code.
- Develop web-based interfaces and services (front-end, back-end, databases, APIs) to configure and control tools.
- Automate build, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines; support DevOps practices.
- Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure tool reliability and performance.
- Support Linux EDA tool infrastructure (including Cadence, ClioSoft, Python-based tooling) and provide cross-team collaboration.
Requirements

Must-have: Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, C++, or Java.

Must-have: Knowledge of AI fundamentals and automation principles.

Must-have: Experience with EDA tools or flows (examples: Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor) and scripting (shell, Perl, Python, Tcl).

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with UNIX/Linux platforms and semiconductor processing or VLSI design flows.

Nice-to-have: Experience or coursework with Cadence Virtuoso, Klayout, Calibre (DRV/Calibre), ICV/IC Validator, DRC, or mask layout/verification tools.

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with microprocessor design, computer architecture, custom design and verification tools, and modern semiconductor design methodologies.
Education Requirements
